With the development of heat pump A/C technologies and the continuous promotion of environmental laws and regulations such as Global Climate Convention and Kigali Amendment, CO2 refrigerant is an ideal solution with global warming potential (also known as greenhouse effect) of 1, to solve the problem of global warming caused by heat pump A/C refrigerant and low temperature adaptability of heat pump A/C. The natural working medium CO2 is a kind of refrigerant that does not damage the ozone layer and has a small greenhouse effect coefficient. Carbon dioxide is a refrigerant that will never be outdated.

Characteristics of CO2 refrigerant:

1. CO2 is a natural working medium (ODP=0, GWP=1), with good safety, non-toxicity and non-combustibility; 
2.  Large latent heat of evaporation and high cooling capacity per unit volume; 
3.  Excellent fluidity and heat transfer performance; 
4.  Low filling volume and low shaft power consumption; 
5.  Good chemical stability and few chemical reactions of related materials; 
6. Higher operating pressure; 
7. The critical point is at a lower temperature: 31.1°C;
8.  CO2 is heavier than air, and the mixed gas generated in a sealed space can be suffocating; 

9.  TLV safety limit: 25ppm for ammonia and 5000PPM (0.5%) for CO2

Up to now, Molead Cling has independently developed and researched CO2 heat pump air conditioning systems. Molead Cling has iteratively developed CO2 heat pump integrated A/C products. 

The technical indicators of the Molead Cling CO2 heat pump air conditioning systems are as follows:

1. Refrigeration standard condition, refrigerating capacity up to 26KW, COP1.9;
2.  Heating standard condition, heating capacity up to 28KW, COP2.4; 
3. Low-temperature heating, heating capacity up to 15KW, COP1.6; 
4. Under ultra-low temperature of -30°C, the unit operates normally without abnormality.

Looking back on the technology research and development process of Molead Cling in heat pump A/C system, there are two main lines running through, from 2009 when Molead Cling took the lead in developing the first generation of bus electric A/C in the industry to now. First, make the heat pump A/C more efficient and energy-saving and can operate at a lower ambient temperature; Second, the heat pump A/C is taken as the core of vehicle thermal management for multi-functional integration and coupling control to improve the empowerment level of the heat pump system.

In terms of heat pump air conditioning, after years of iterative updates, Molead Cling has mastered the application of air makeup and enthalpy increase technology in bus & coach air conditioning, realizing low-temperature heating at -20 ~ -25°C. The successful development of carbon dioxide heat pump air conditioning products has further reduced the applicable ambient temperature of heat pump air conditioning products to -25~-30°C, which is more environmentally friendly and energy-saving in low-temperature operation.
